Gateway Men's Chorus

The Gateway Men's Chorus is an outstanding institution in St. Louis, Missouri, dedicated to celebrating community diversity and addressing social issues through musical performances. History

The history of the Gateway Men’s Chorus began in the fall of 1987 with a call in the Gay and Lesbian News Telegraph seeking men interested in joining St. Louis’ first gay choir. The community quickly grew, and by the spring of 1988, the first concert was held with 22 members. Since then, the chorus has performed over 1,300 musical works and opened the stage for more than 650 singers to showcase their talents. This continuous growth and the diversity of performances have contributed to the recognition of the Gateway Men's Chorus throughout the region.
