Worldwide, “Pride Month” is celebrated in June, and in Florida, people are already looking forward to the month. There, the annual Key West Pride has been honoring diversity for over 40 years.

June is filled every year with appointments and celebrations that are in the spirit of "Pride Month": The LGBTQ+ community celebrates with colorful parades, lively parties, and exclusive events. The aim of the actions and activities is to draw attention to the ongoing lack of equality and acceptance.

There are also corresponding events in the USA, and especially in Florida, it will be vibrant when the annual Key West Pride celebration takes place again starting on June 5, 2024. For over 40 years, this event has celebrated diversity and inclusivity. At 5 PM, the parade will kick off under the motto "Celebrating the 70's Disco Era," and hundreds of participants will stretch an impressive two-kilometer-long rainbow flag across the famous Duval Street from the Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic Ocean.

This is therefore the longest rainbow flag in the world, parts of which will also be used in other pride parades around the globe.

The kickoff for Key West Pride 2024 will take place on Monday, June 3, 2024, with a charity event called "Real Men Do Drag" at AquaPlex Key West. In the coming days, one highlight follows another, and the events are as colorful as the guests and ideas: there are theater performances and film screenings, wine tastings, sunset sailing trips, and enticing food tours under the motto "Taste the Rainbow Tour."

Party-goers have the dilemma of choosing between various street festivals and club events featuring local DJs or lively pool parties. But countless restaurants, bars, and distilleries also offer colorful specials during Key West Pride. The grand finale will be the big Key West Pride Parade on Sunday (June 9, 2024).
