The World Culinary Awards for the best European restaurant of this year have been awarded again.

Despite the wave of "modern European" restaurants that can be found everywhere at the moment, the cuisine of the continent cannot be defined as a single entity. From the fried fish prepared on the Mediterranean coast to the hearty pierogi from Poland, from Yorkshire pudding to currywurst – European cuisine is diverse.

To honor this, the World Culinary Awards are awarded annually for the best European restaurant, and this year, the top spot goes to a restaurant in Paris, namely “Alléno Paris,” a sparkling restaurant awarded three Michelin stars located near the Place de la Concorde in the French capital.
